Their first game at their new home attracted a bumper crowd to see The Sons beat Elgin City 3-0. The side pushed on from here to finish 6th and then achieve promotion the following campaign. Tom Carson lead the side to second place but it was goalkeeper John Wight who became the hero, with his stoppage time penalty save against Queen\'s Park confirming a dramatic promotion
