Dumbarton Training/Leisure football shirt 2002 - 2004

2002 - 2004 Dumbarton training/leisure football shirt. Training shirt as worn when Dumbarton competed in the Scottish League Division 3. The side were without a stadium for the first half of the 2000-01 season as they awaited theirs being built. This coincided with a poor run of form where they only picked up one point at \'home\' - which was 40 miles away at Albion Rovers\' ground. Their first game at their new home attracted a bumper crowd to see The Sons beat Elgin City 3-0. The side pushed on from here to finish 6th and then achieve promotion the following campaign. Tom Carson lead the side to second place but it was goalkeeper John Wight who became the hero, with his stoppage time penalty save against Queen\'s Park confirming a dramatic promotion
