This ecru away shirt was only worn in one season - 1996-1997. During this season, Liverpool played in the European Cup Winners Cup and faced a Norweigan and French team respectively. In exactly two matches, the Liverpool away shirts had no Carlsberg sponsor, due to alcoholic bans in these countries' broadcasting rules.
