  This is the away top worn by Madrid-based Rayo Vallecano during their 2015-2016 La Liga campaign. Boasting a striking, bold, and, above all, daring design, this kit saw the team relegated to the Segunda Division at the end of the season.

  The sash as a whole, modelled after the famous rainbow flag, is a recognition of gay pride, a social movement that fights for LGBTQA+ sexual minority rights the world over. However, Rayo also dedicated each individual colour of the rainbow in the form of a ribbon on its kit to a different group of people that need support.

  Red represents those who fight against cancer

  Orange represents those who fight for immigration of disabled people into society

  Yellow represents those who never despair in the face of evil

  Green represents the brave men and women who fight to protect the environment

  Blue represents those who fight to combat and end child abuse

  Purple represents those who seek to stop abuse of women across the world

  A 7th ribbon, pink in colour, is added to the others on the back of the collar to show support who fight against discrimination on sexual grounds, therefore representing the rainbow motif.
