2014 Alajuelense home fotbollströja. Retail (Stadium) version.

Retail versions do not include the Banco General sponsor and have a different league patch on the right sleeve. PI shirts used later on the Invierno 2014 include the AeroCasillas sponsor (which is not featured on the retail version).

Alajuelense was left empty-handed during 2014 as the Verano 2014 was lost against Saprissa on a minimal margin (a 0-0 tie on Alajuela and a 1-0 loss on Tibás), and was eliminated on the Invierno 2014 semifinals against the same opposition and again on a minimal margin (a 1-0 loss on stoppage time on Tibás and a 1-1 tie on Alajuela).

On international duty, Alajuelense reached the 2013-14 CONCACAF Champions League semifinals after booting Árabe Unido from Colón, Panama (0-0 tie on Alajuela and a 0-2 win on Panama City) on quarterfinals. Alajuelense was then unceremoniously eliminated against Toluca after a 0-1 loss in Alajuela and a 0-2 loss on Toluca.

On the 2014-15 CONCACAF Champions League on the other hand, Alajuelense reached their second quarterfinal on the current format (will face DC United on February 26th and March 4th), after qualifying unbeaten on their group against Panama's Chorrillo (from the Panama City El Chorrillo neighborhood) and against the 2014 CONCACAF Club World Cup finalist Cruz Azul. Alajuelense tied 1-1 against Cruz Azul on Mexico City, beat Chorrillo 1-0 on Alajuela, tied 1-1 against Chorrillo on the return game on Panama City, and tied 1-1 against Cruz Azul on the return game in Alajuela.
