1998 - 1999 AFC Rushden & Diamonds home fotbollströja. The 1998-1999 Home Shirt saw a radical change in design compared to its 97-98 predecessor. A White shirt remained but with Blue sleeves and a Red, White & Black 'wave/swirl' like design. A template design that 'OS' used on other shirts they produced for the likes of Scarborough, Southend United, Dundee United and Northern Ireland.

OLYMPIC SPORT remained as kit manufacturer but changed their logo that appeared on shirts to 'OS'.

Rushden Chairman Max Griggs's DR.MARTENS (AirWair) footwear company replaced WHITWORTHS as Shirt Sponsor.

The Diamonds could once again only manage 4th place in the Conference. However, this final standing was determined by a disappointing final day defeat to Northants rivals Kettering Town who won 2-1 at Nene Park meaning The Poppies finished 2nd, Runners-Up to League Champions Cheltenham Town. The Diamonds could have earnt that spot had they won the game but had to settle for 4th, behind Hayes in 3rd.

Darren Collins was, again, top scorer for Diamonds on 17 League Goals.
