1992 - 1993 Alajuelense away camisa de futebol. Away shirt used by Alajuelense during the 1992-93 season, which retained the design used earlier in the year but had a few changes (such as the typeface).
Alajuelense was aiming to obtain a league treble but fell short, after having an irregular season (and despite of this, made it to the ending stages of the tournament, being booted in the semifinals by Cartaginés on penalties).
Regionally, Alajuelense reached the CONCACAF Champions Cup final after edging out Guatemalans CSD Municipal, Hondurans Club Motagua, Salvadorians Luis Ángel Firpo on penalties and Martinicans L\'Aiglon Du Lamentin in the knockout rounds. The final was contested against Mexican powerhouse Club América on neutral ground on early 1993, with the Mexicans being the better team after Hugo Sánchez broke the deadlock and won by 1-0.
Shirt #8 was used by attacking midfielder Victor Badilla, who was signed up from Saprissa on late 1991. Badilla left the club in 1998 and 18 years later came back to the club on a sporting director capacity. Badilla nowadays is a youth team scout.

Away shirt used by Alajuelense on the 1992 and 1992-93 seasons.
The above example is a variant of the actual shirt, which features a back sponsor (Coca-Cola, the original shirt has a blank back) and was first used in a playoff match against Municipal Turrialba for the 1992 season. The back-sponsored shirt was used a bit more frequently on the 1992-93 season.
Shirt #2 was used by up-and-coming defender Javier Delgado, on his second year playing first level football.
