Telstar Away baju bolasepak 2011 - 2013
Telstar Away baju bolasepak 2011 - 2013

2011 - 2013 Telstar away baju bolasepak. Home shirt as worn by SC Telstar (hailing from the Dutch town of Velsen) during the 11/12 and 12/13 Eerste Divisie seasons, in which the club finished 15th and 14th, respectively.

This shirt was designed in conjunction with supporters by Danish brand Hummel. In early 2010, the club announced a short list of designs for the away shirt, which could be voted upon by the fans. The candidate-shirts (including a red-white strip modelled on the Tour de France King of The Mountains jersey, and a bright pink kit) caused controversy amongst the Telstar faithful, after which they were consulted in designing this kit, which would end up being worn for two seasons.

With the main colour being described as anthracite, red and blue detais were included as a tribute to VSV and Stormvogels, respectively, the two clubs that merged to form Telstar in 1963. The "Sinds 1963" (since 1963) on the back references that year, which also marked the launch of the Telstar communications satellite, after which the club was named.

The only sponsorship on this shirt takes the form of the Tata Steel wordmarks on the sleeves. Dabbling in, as the name implies, steel production, Tata is one of the largest job suppliers in the club's region.
