1984 Alajuelense home baju bolasepak. One more example of the home shirt worn during 1984.
Shirt #9 was used by striker Omar Arroyo, who was largely associated to Alajuelense except for his debut season at San Ramón and half a season at San Carlos in 1987. Arroyo quietly retired on 1989 and save for a coaching job on 2000 with Ascenso club Naranjo, has remained apart from football (largely due to a good-paying desk job). Arroyo won league titles with Alajuelense on 1984 (1983-84 season) and 1985 (1984-85 season), as well as the club's first CONCACAF title on 1987 (1986 season).

Another example of a player-issued home shirt worn during 1984. The above example belonged to a (as-of-yet unidentified) #22.
It was the first time (according to available information) that Alajuelense wore hoops since 1956. Hoops would be used again in 1988 and 2015.
The above example may correspond to one of the earlier-issued shirts due to a different typeface used for the numbering.

Home shirt spotted on a Costa Rican Clásico on November 2013 and originally belonging to former defender Luis Raquel Ledezma.
Save for a season at Heredia and two CONCACAF matches with them on early 1989, Ledezma played his entire career on Alajuelense and retired due to recurring injuries and a career-ending back injury suffered on a match against Palmares on late 1989.
Luis Raquel is unrelated to Froylán (the striker).
