2007 - ? Seacoast United Phantoms home maglia di calcio. Seacoast United Phantoms - PDL

2007 Player Issued Home Jersey

This jersey represents the end of an era, and the beginning of a new chapter following the 2007 season for the club. The Phantoms won only 3 games in the 2007 season, finishing 9th of 10 in the Northeast Division of their league.

Founded in 1996, the Phantoms (New Hampshire) are Seacoast United's top football (soccer) team in their sports development organization that encompasses several sports from youth to adult in the states of New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts in the New England region of the USA. A sister team, the Seacoast United Mariners (Maine) play in the NPSL (National Premier Soccer League).

From their founding, the team played in the Northeast Division of a league that eventually evolved into the USL 2nd Division until the end of the 2007 season when, due to financial reasons, they chose to self relegate to the newly formed PDL (USL-Premier Development League) beginning play in the 2008 season. Also in the Northeast Division of the Eastern Conference. Since the USSF (United States Soccer Federation) currently does not sanction a Division IV (a new provisional Division III - USL-D3 - has just been announced to begin play in 2019), the PDL and NPSL are considered Unofficial Division IV leagues.

While headquartered in southeastern NH, the Phantoms spent much of their existence playing their games at several sites around southern New Hampshire. Including the stadium at Portsmouth High School (NH) from 2011-2017. In 2007, they began their season homeless, playing their first 10 of 14 games on the road while they found a pitch to host their home games. They currently (2018) play their home games in Amesbury, MA on the eastern NH/MA border at a location purchased to house ongoing development efforts.

Since 2003 the Phantoms have qualified for the US Open Cup tournament 6 times, making it to the 2nd round 3 times and the 3rd round twice.
