The Red Ensign flag of the Massachusetts Bay Militia, which normally resides on the back of the neck, has been replaced with the Pride Flag. This was done for a specific match, but I don\'t recall the date for that game.

Carles Gil (pronounced \"HEEL\") is an attacking midfielder from Spain who joined the Revolution at the beginning of the 2019 season. Not long after, becoming Team Captain. He immediately took on the team\'s playmaker role and was awarded the 2019 MLS Newcomer of the Year Award. He was awarded the Landon Donovan MVP Award for the 2021 season after narrowly losing out in the voting during the previous 2 seasons.

Gil started off playing for the Rev\'s wearing the #22, but changed to #10 at the beginning of the 2022 season, following the departure of the previous #10, Teal Bunbury. This is his first season wearing the new number.
