Angela Hucles played for the Boston Breakers in the short lived WUSA league from 2001 to 2003, and then again in the equally short WPS league in 2009 as a midfielder.

She also played for the USWNT between 2003-2009, with 109 caps and 13 goals. Since retirement, she has been an advocate for women’s sports, as well as equality and anti-hate in sport.

She announced her retirement from both league and international play on October 16 2009, after the season had concluded.
