Casper only made one appearance in the 16/17 season, as a substitute in the FA Cup game away to Lincoln City. He made the bench for several games during the season, prior to announcing his retirement from the game. As of 2018 he was working as goalkeeping coach for the Albion for the U23and academy sides.
