  1998 FIFA World Cup - Mexico National Team shirt (ABA Sport). Mexico presented themselves to the 1998 World Cup held in France with this spectacular pre-Columbian design. In group play, Mexico defeated Korea Republic (South) 3-1 with goals from the mighty striker Luis Hernández (Matador) and Ricardo Peláez. Two consecutive draws (both by 2-2 score) against Belgium (with goals from Alberto Garcia Aspe Cuauhtémoc Blanco) and Netherlands (with goals again by Peláez and Hernández). Mexico reached the round of 16 where Germany eliminated Mexico 2-1 (goal by Hernández). Without any doubt this brave 1998 team marked an entire generation.
