Bury FC, known as 'The Shakers' as 'they'll shake 'em' according to the manger JT Ingham before a local cup final match in 1892. They won the FA Cup in 1900 and 1903, and have played their home games at Gigg Lane ever since they were formed in 1885.

Sadly in August 2019 the club were expelled from the EFL due to abysmal ownership issues.
