This shirt marks the first collaboration between the club and esteemed Danish brand Hummel, who have taken over the role of supplier from Nike, the club's previous supplier which dressed the team in standard templates.

Hummel's designers went all-out for RKC, delivering this stunning, instantly recognisable shirt. The team's trademark yellow has been supplemented by a blue collar and Hummel's iconic chevrons, a chest-high strip of white, and, most notably, an interesting chequered design across the upper chest, shoulders, and upper back in orange.

When inspected closely, the orange parts are dotted with specks of yellow, which increase in size the higher they are on the shirt, eventually making the squares consist of circles of orange near the shoulder seams.

The back of the shirt has received attention as well, with the club's motto "You'll never Wolluk alone" (a play on the famous song and the city's name being pronounced as "Wolluk") vertically emblazoned along with the lion from Waalwijk's coat of arms. Hummel, main sponsor Mandemakers (a kitchen dealer who has saved the club from financial turmoil multiple times) and backsponsor DirectLease (the Netherlands' biggest online car lease company) have had their wordmarks woven into the fabric of the shirt, with RKC's crest having been heatpressed.

At the time of writing, RKC Waalwijk ranks 16th out of 18 in the Eredivisie, which would see them enter the play-offs for promotion/relegation. It is the author's opinion that beautifully distinct kits like this one deserve to be worn in the highest tier of professional football, and one would feverishly hope that RKC succeed in prolonging their stay in the top flight.
