Home shirt as worn by Forest Green Rovers during the 2018/2019 SkyBet League 2 season and the club\'s 2019/2020 campaign (League TBD) in line with the club\'s sustainability policy through which playing kit is kept for two seasons. These shirts only made their debut well into September as FGR\'s initial technical supplier, hummel, had failed to meet a number of deadlines in delivering the bespoke kits they had promised. As a result, FGR tore up the contract and signed PlayerLayer, a Nottingham-based brand, to provide the club with strips.

Consisting of the club\'s now famous lime green and black (taken from sponsor Ecotricity\'s corporate colours), the shirt features broad black hoops on a lime green base, with PlayerLayer having outings on the chest and right sleeve. FGR\'s logo is embroidered, and the back of the shirt is graced by charity partner Sea Shepherd and the club\'s initials with the infamous three stars, of which one is gold; these represent the club\'s ambition to climb from the National League to the Championship, with each star representing one promotion. The first star is coloured gold to signify the fact that the first promotion, from National League to League 2, has been achieved.
