Alajuelense Home Camiseta de Fútbol 2002 - 2003

2002 - 2003 Alajuelense home Camiseta de Fútbol. Home shirt used by Alajuelense between late 2002 and March 2003.

The above item was originally used unbranded, however Jugados embroidery was later added as shown--despite this, the home (as well as the away) shirts were outsourced to Colombian manufacturer Fabricamos Su Sudadera. The later Jugados shirts used on the late season were made by the brand rather than by FSS.

This shirt is a copycat of the Finta shirt used on the early season, whereas the away shirt was an original design.

Alajuelense cruised on the season to a fourth league title in a row, with little opposition--both the Apertura and Clausura tournaments were won with matches to spare; and a memorable highlight of the season was a 4-1 thrashing of arch-rivals Saprissa at Alajuela days after the latter were purchased by Mexican tycoon Jorge Vergara (Alajuelense wore this shirt on said match).

Shirt #19 was used by midfielder Sandro Alfaro on his final season on the club (he was off-loaded to Cartaginés at the end of the season) and by forward Jonathan Bolaños (who was signed on the January transfer window but did not play a single match and was also off-loaded at the end of the season).
