Home shirt as worn by Wigan Athletic during the 2018/2019 SkyBet Championship season, wherein the Latics arrived as champions of League 1, having won the third tier in 17/18. The first kit to be produced under a new three year partnership with Puma following a few years spent in Kappa garb, this home kit was based on the much-loved \'Three Amigos\' kit that was worn between 1995 and 1998 (and coincidentally made by Puma back then).

Usually playing in stripes, Wigan were bought out by Dave Whelan in 1995, who then added green to the club\'s identity to keep it in line with his corporate JJB livery, with the shirt receiving its nickname from the three Spanish players that were brought in that year. Although that original kit remains a classic, this version disappointed with a plain blue back where the original continued the white and green on the reverse.

Wigan recorded an impressive 18th placed finish in 18/19 as a newly promoted team, ahead of \'bigger\' names like Ipswich and Bolton. The shirt will be replaced with a new Puma design, and green will most likely never feature again now that the Whelan family has sold the club to an overseas party.
