Sheffield United Home football shirt 1992 - 1994

1992 - 1994 Sheffield United home football shirt. Sheffield United home shirt as worn by the club in the inaugural Premier League Season in 1992.

The oddity with this shirt, certainly for replica's, were that the stripes did not line-up going over the shoulder and match with those on the back of the shirt. Some had 3 red stripes to the front, 4 on the reverse of the shirt, some shirts had the central stripe as white and others had offset stripes where the black stripe either side of the red stripe is directly down the center.

The player issue shirt is slightly different to the replica one.

The club crest was larger and filled the entire shield.

The Umbro manufacturers logo was embroidered on the players version.

The red and white stripes were all semetrical on each shirt as apposed to being off-set as in this replica version.

Also, The reverse of the player shirt had a square red patch radiating across form the 2 outer red stripes which was used for the squad numbers of the time. The lace-up collar was present on the player versions, but the laces were ommited presumably so they couldn't be grabbed by a defender or such.
