1974 - 1976 Scotland home football shirt. Matchworn Danny McGrain Scotland home shirt worn during the 1974/1975 home nations tournament.
Classic Umbro design of white collar and white trimmed sleeves with the original Umbro logo of light blue, dark blue and white.
The shirt is made of one of the first sports tech materials Airtex that has pin holes throughout the shirt to allow the cooling and breathing of the users and decrease shirt discomfort.
Still has evidence of match marks and wear on item. The number three has some pitch residue and the right hand collar has only slight wear on the end of the corner. For an item thats 48 years old it’s in magnificent condition and has been well looked after.
Danny McGrain was regarded as one of the finest right backs of his generation. He not only battled his opposition on the pitch but he battled diabetes throughout his life and career.
A legend of the game who represented Celtic for 17 years with 439 games and 4 goals under his belt and ended his career at Hamilton Academical who are the first ever professional team to have originated from a School team.
He represented Scotland 62 times and is a hero to Scotland and Celtic.
A legendary shirt!
