2020 - 2021 New England Revolution home football shirt. The Original

From the Revolution’s website :

“...... The Revs, MLS originals, will be sporting an updated version of their classic red, white and blue flag look from the inaugural 1996 season, called “The Original.” ”

From Retail descriptions :

“...... The new 2020 kit echoes the original design\'s patriotic theme with modernized features, including a sleek white stripe across the front, an exclusive Jock Tag incorporating the club\'s logo, and red shorts, which haven\'t been part of the primary kit since the 1996 design.”

“...... Reminders of the league anniversary are also included, such as nine stars on the drop hem of the jersey (a reference to the Revolution’s status as one of nine remaining clubs from the inaugural season).”

To be honest, I like the jersey, but as a tribute to the original 1996 kit - the design is a fail. It bears none of the design elements that made the original kit an icon (albeit an ugly one).
