It was worn by both teams during opening ceremonies before the Sept. 21th match against Real Salt Lake, to bring awareness to the plight of childhood cancer. Other MLS teams have also participated in the effort. Proceeds from the sale of this jersey, as well as other sales go to benefit research and treatments of childhood cancer in an effort to battle the disease.
