This was the second meeting between the sides this season, they had played out a 1-1 draw in California back in May after Edson Buddle's late equaliser had earned 10 men Galaxy a share of the spoils. The game in Kansas was another 1-1 affair, the hosts took the lead through a superb Claudio López effort. The former Lazio man firing the Wizards in front with a cracking long-range strike from inside his own half after LA keeper Donovan Ricketts was caught off his line. Galaxy weren't behind for long, star striker Landon Donovan found a equaliser less than 10 minutes later with a nice solo goal. Miglioranzi played the full 90 minutes, this was the midfielder's second term with Galaxy after previously having a short spell with the side in 2006. He made 23 appearances in all competitions as the side finished top of the Western Conference and 2nd overall in the MLS before an agonising shootout loss to Real Salt Lake in the MLS Cup playoff final. The former Portsmouth and Swindon Town midfielder joining Philadelphia Union for the 2010 season where he spent 2 years before hanging up his boots at the end of the 2011 campaign. « hide
