This Wycombe-esque kit brought blue back to the Pitmen's away kit for the first time in a number of years, with the club enjoying a number of decent results in it. It's first appearance was in a 1-1 draw at Scarborough, in what was the Seadogs first game back in non-league football right at the start of the new season. Other useful wins at Altrincham, Woking and Stevenage followed, but the popular kit was dropped after one year (as is the norm for Hednesford), to be replaced by the less popular navy errea kit in 00-01
