2009 - 2010 FC Utrecht home football shirt. Home shirt as worn by the FC Utrecht squad during the 2009-2010 Eredivisie season. The team, hailing from the Netherlands' fourth biggest city, finished 7th during the regular season, but fought their way into Europe by beating Groningen and Roda in the play-offs.

This was the first of 3 home shirts Kappa would manufacture for the club during their contract. While taking inspiration from the diagonally halved red and white design (a reference to the coat of arms of Utrecht) introduced by Puma in 2007, Kappa added a shadow print of the Dom, a gothic church tower and the most famous landmark of the city.

Real estate developer Phanos had their name woven into the fabric of the kit, while the team crest and the three Kappa logos (one on the chest and each shoulder) were embroidered.

This particular shirt has been signed by one of the squad's players, but I have been unable to find out who exactly. With the likes of Michel Vorm, Ricky van Wolfswinkel, and Dries Mertens among its ranks, the team was a force to be reckoned with.
