2004 - 2005 Birmingham City home football shirt. This particular kit was the only home top produced during a one year partnership with Italian manufacturer Diadora (which would return for a longer spell with the club in 2012), wedged inbetween the 6 years the club spent with Le Coq Sportif and the two season foray Lonsdale made into football. It was also the second out of four seasons/shirts that sported the logo and name of flybe.com, a British budget air line.
In what is a very restrained blue-white-black affair the sponsors provide a small flash of colour that not only picks out their name, but also provides a little zest to the top.
All in all, a beautifully restrained shirt with small flashes of thought-out design. The quality of the garment and stickering, while not ideal, surpasses that of many of the big brands (looking at Nike and adidas in particular), and this punter, for one, is happy to keep this particular shirt in a prominent place in his collection.
