Assyriska Foreningen Away football shirt 2009

2009 Assyriska Foreningen away football shirt. Awayshirt as worn by

Superettan (second division) team Assyriska Södertälje. For the first

time in the history of the team theay where going to play with other

colours then the original red and white. Only worn in one game, in the

away game against IFK Norrköping. This shirt was introduced for the

first time at this game but was replaced at halftime due to complaints

from two Assyriska players as they where suffering from colourblindness

(IFK Norrköping played with white shirts). Assyriska ended up playing

the second half of the game with homeshirts borrowed from Norrköping.

This shirt was after the game abandoned and never used again as the it

was not neccesary to have a second set of shirts during the 2009 season

and due to the fact that the players voted no for it to be worn again

(Assyriska lost 5-1, the biggest loss of the season). The shirt on the

picture is matchworn with the leaguepatch on the sleeve. Very rare and

sought after by the supporters.
