2010 Algeria special football shirt. This shirt was designed to be worn as a third kit by 12 African national teams. The African Unity football kit was to be worn by World Cup qualifiers Ghana, Cameroon, Ivory Coast and Algeria, along with African Cup of Nations' hosts Angola and Egypt, Mozambique, Togo, Tunisia, Senegal, Morocco and Namibia.
The Puma Africa Unity football kit has a unique and inspirational colourway. The brown pantone was created by mixing actual soil samples from Ghana, Ivory Coast, South Africa and Cameroon. The colour gradient transitions from brown to blue is a visual metaphor for soil to sky. And all of the applications, such as the number and the badge are cast in yellow to represent the sun shining down on Africa!
When fans bought this replica shirt it came with a selection of country badges to be applied as required. In addition, a “2010 International year of Biodiversity” badge was included. See the other image for more details.
