The 2010 kits broke tradition with the regular Alajuelense new shirt launch schedule, as they were released on January. Every subsequent new kit launch has been made every calendar year, instead of being launched on during the regular timeframe (June-July).

Alajuelense used this shirt during the Verano 2010 tournament (where they reached semifinals and were unceremoniously booted by San Carlos) and during the Invierno 2010 (which was worn against Herediano on penalty kicks).
