Here's a replica of the shirt that Eric Steele wore at Newcastle when Brighton won promotion to the First Division in 1979. The Bukta symbol is black with a white outline. This snugly fitting jersey appears to have been worn throughout the 1978/79 by both Steele and Moseley. In the previous season, the shirt featured the white letters 'Bukta' instead of the symbol. In the matches in the top flight in 1979/80, the buk graphic changed to white with the Bukta lettering underneath. For the pre-season photo shoot of 1980/81, a second Albion badge was sewn on to cover the Bukta logo, as Adidas did not yet have their goalkeeper shirt ready for Brighton. They made amends in time for the Wolves match in August 1980.
