3 Football Players With Massive Football Shirts Collection

This is a sponsored post by Rachel Stinson on behalf of elabelz.com, an online clothing store featuring sportswear from brands synonymous with football and it’s fans. Rachel brought to our attention that it’s not fans who collect football shirts….

While some of you might have garnered a plethora of modern and classic football shirts of various teams spanning multiple leagues and countries, it is too difficult to beat the collections of most football players who get to collect shirts right from the player himself. The exposure to both clubs and country gives them an easy way to gain a massive collection. Without further ado, let us take a look at three players who have the best collection of football shirts.

Lionel Messi

The name Lionel Messi is recognizable to just about anyone, whether you are a football fan or not. Having played in just about every football stage over his thirteen year title laden career, he has assembled an awe striking collection of football shirts. The assortment of shirts consists of shirts from players like Thierry Henry, Iker Casillas and Phillip Lahm while unknown players like Youssef El Arabi who plays in the Qatar league also feature in his collection. Most of his Barcelona mates feature along with a couple of Real Madrid Players. Notably, no English players feature while Cristiano Ronaldo is missing too, which is hardly a surprise given their intense rivalry. Often seen in a pair of Vans shoes and an Adidas shirt, the Argentinian superstar posted a picture of the collection on his Instagram profile.

Stephan El Shaarawy

The Roma forward recently posted a picture of his collection of football shirts that he has accumulated over the years. His shirt collection included shirts from some of the most iconic names in football such as Gianluigi Buffon, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Ibrahimović who was his team mate during his stint at AC Milan. Similar to Lionel Messi, Stephan El Shaarawy posted the picture on his Instagram. Over his career, he has played alongside famous players such as Kaka and Thiago Silva and during his loan period at Monaco in the 2015-2016 period, he played alongside prodigies like Mbappe, Antony Martial and Bernado Silva who all, like him have since left the club. On the side of country, the twenty four year old has played twenty one times for Italy starring alongside Bonucci and Gianluigi Buffon.

Gerard Pique

With a multitude of La Liga Titles, Champion’s League Medals and a World Cup, it is safe to say that Gerard Pique has had an illustrious career. A man with a glittering career like that must have a shirt collection to match and Pique does not disappoint in this regard. His shirt collection features retired legends such as Raul, Milito and David Beckham to superstars like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, surprisingly. According to his tweet (see below), he was organizing his closet and tennis shoes when he found all of them. For a strong Barcelona supporter, Pique has a larger number of Real Madrid shirts while in a separate picture he showed off the shirts he collected during the 2010 World Cup which Spain won. He also mentioned that his favorite shirt was that of his former teammate, Barcelona’s beloved defender Carlos Puyol.
