My Football Shirt of the year, 2016

Well this is my shirt of the year, and my very own shirt, I think it’s a wonderful thing, a Nike shirt, and not a template in sight, and all the sponsors are printed into the fabric, nothing “iron-on” here.

This is the 2016 home shirt of Club Universidad Nacional of the Mexican Liga MX (their top division).
The team are know most commonly as Pumas and are one of the most popular clubs in Mexico. The Puma emblem across the front of their shirts has featured since the 1980 season and has been there every year since.
They play at the Estadio Olímpico Universitario with a capacity of 52,000. The stadium is within the University City of Mexico City and hosted World Cup matches in 1986 and was the main venue for the 1968 summer Olympics.

Seeing as we are talking about 2016, Pumas finished 6th in the combined Clausura 2016 league and just missed out on qualification for South American club tournaments, with that shirt, they really should have done better.
