It’s not all templates and teamwear

Not all football shirts are created equal.

We’re used to seeing the same Nike, Adidas and Puma kits being rolled out ad-nauseam every season. First the ‘big’ clubs tend to get them, and then a year later the same designs appear on clubs throughout the leagues.

Here are this seasons Nike efforts for Chelsea and Spurs, the same shirt, just different colours, how very dull.

There is some good news though, it’s not all templates and teamwear. Thank goodness for Hummel, just take a look at this absolute beauty they’ve made for Japanese J2 League side V-Varen Nagasaki. I’m just going to show you these photos, there’s not a lot else I can say about them, just a stunning shirt, a work of art.
