Insight into this football shirt collectors method

My football shirt collection is anchored in shirts of my team, Brighton and Hove Albion. Over the years it’s become more eclectic, the launch of oldfootballshirts.com in October 2006 has something to do with that. With so many amazing shirts posted, I felt the need to collect some of them myself. Additionally, I am sometimes contacted through the website by people offering me shirts, which I gladly accept.

I’m a bit of a shirt addict now and I look out all the time for unusual or rare shirts to add to my library. Whenever a friend of mine is overseas, I might send them a message asking them if they spot a footie shop, maybe they could pick me something up. They often they do, of course I reimburse them.

Some recent additions

If I find myself somewhere new I pop into the local football ground and see what I can find. I’m going to document a few of these gifts from near and far, some are standard, some are things of beauty, some are downright mad.
